To Comic Con and Back Again

Here we go yet another fantastic time at the glamourous San Diego Comic Con- or as the pros call it SDCC- or myself- ‘Line Con International’

I’ve come to conclusion that Comic Con isn’t about POP culture, it’s about Fan Culture. There’s a fan base for EVEYTHING. If you like Storm troopers, but also like obscure indie artists, chances are, someone else does too, whynot combine two things that shouldn’t go together, and make a NEW repulsive eyesore...

This guy was Alvin, from Alvin and the chipmunks- hahahahaha, hells yeah! how random…

OBEY- Ian McKellen advances

Kevin Eastman is celebrating 25 years of teenage mutant ninja turtles! Can you believe it!

Check it out! He was sketching for everyone in line- I had to stand in front of the geekiest middle aged cosplay woman on the planet, totally worth it though!

I silkscreened my own shirt specifically for comic con, and this major geek actually knew the reference!

I couldn’t believe it, a second person actually knew it too! Comic Con is awesome!

Iphones have replaced wands as a fairies source of conjouring- spells for levitation??? There’s an ‘App” for that.

Lounge Wars- quite possibly the best thing from Star Wars since 1983

People have to understand that when you dress up in a huge obnoxious costume and go to an event with over 120,000 people attending, you will hopefully get trampled to death by an angry angry mob.

Spike! From Spike and Mikes Sick and Twsted Festival of Animation!

Oooohhhh another 25th anniversary… This was being sold as an exclusive at Comic Con- G1 Soundwave with 4 cassettes! OMG!

LOOK WHO GOT HIS!!! In true comic con fashion, I had to get in a line, to get a ticket to get in a line! I was in a snaking line for forever! It was awesome, I saw Seth Green totally cut the line and get his.

Some people at Comic Con have a right to be dressed up, cause a very select few have the very rare ability to kick your ass.

Toxie luvs me.

Spoiler alert! Who’s the man behind the mask? Mila Kunis cut-out!

Check out these AWESOME Daikaiju toys I got!

I play with Z.O.M.B.I.E.s

John K of Ren and Stimpy gave a panel on a new cartoon he’s producing- George Liquor- I got a sketch from him.

It seems pretty bizarre…

We got to go to an exclusive Alice in Wonderland exhibit. It was cool. They had props from the movie and random stuff that didn’t make any sense.

Alice’s dress

Alice’s… Armor?

If I had a lot of money, I’d waste it too.

They were giving away shirts at Flynn’s Arcade… anyone… anyone…

Flynn’s Arcade is home of Tron- duh

They had a room setup with all these ‘old skool’ arcade games- FOR FREE, I said that I wasn’t going to leave- EVER!

Then they opened up a secret door- and of course, curiosity got the better of me, and I had to check it out,

Full scale Light Cycle from TRON 2.0!

Then it was off to Kaiju Big Battle

My compatriot- drew
